Senator Woodbury works as an economist and Maine State Senator, representing Chebeague Island, Cumberland, Falmouth, Gray, Long Island, North Yarmouth and Yarmouth.
Outside the legislature, Dick coordinates a national research and education program on population aging. His research deals with pension plans, health and disability, Social Security, the economics of aging, and tax policy. He serves on advisory boards to GrowSmart Maine and Envision Maine.
Dick is a member of the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce, a past recipient of the Guardian of Small Business Award from the National Federation of Independent Business, and has been recognized as a “strong” supporter of business by the Maine Economic Research Institute.
He graduated from Williams College and has a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
